First for all of you a healthy and prosperous 2013.
This year I start with showing some landscape images I shot during my trip to Vietnam in the Tet period (Vietnamese New Year) at the beginning of 2012. The desolation of these landscapes during the coldest period (January/February) gives birth to the feeling of hope and peace possible in a wide open world. Here you feel the compassion being alive and well. I feel it our duty to show and bring it back to the crowded world. And suddenly in this loneliness appears now and then a joyful bunch of colours. It appears and vanishes again in the fog of the high mountains.
A lady of the Flower H’Mong minority on her way to a Tet festival in Bac Ha
A fisherman on the Ba Be Lake
A girl playing on the rocks in Meo Vac
On the way to Dong Van I saw this girl overlooking the valley
On my way from Ha Giang to Dong Van high in the mountains I came along this woman from the Green H’Mong tribe in the fog
A very small village near Meo Vac on a bridge a boy is playing with his spin
One of the rocks in Halong Bay on a late drizzly afternoon
Two girls from the Flower H’Mong minority looking over the river running through Bac Ha
Between the mountains on the way from Ha Giang to Dong Van I saw this young mother with her child on a steep slope
